About myself
I have loved, laughed and cried, suffered and been happy. I have seen quite a chunk of the world as I have travelled to many remote places. I have seen beautiful and ugly things, met wonderful, honest people as well as mean, revolting ones. I have worked and earned my living since I was 3. Surprised? Well, my first “job” was catching flies for money (or lollipops) at my grandparents’ place in my childhood. It had very little to do with what I did later, but living with my gran and grandpa taught me to do things best to my ability. I was very good at catching all flying insects as I was given a serious task and was expected to do it well. I also started drawing there and would spend long hours sitting at the kitchen table copying castles, palaces, drawing people, trees and animals from postcards and posters mostly. I loved my grandparents deeply. I must have been quite a disappointment to my parents when I decided to read English, not art, at university. But I believed that being a good teacher of English would earn me a better living than being a lousy artist, as I never believed in my true art talents. I have been teaching English since I left university. My first job was an assistant lecturer at Garyounis University in Benghazi, where I spent almost 7 wonderful years till July 1990. In 1991 my husband Szymon (a graduate of the same faculty) and I opened Finch System School of English in Puszczykowo, Poland. We have been running the school ever since. We have two fantastic children: Cezary and Natalia. Both very intelligent, highly sensitive, handsome and beautiful respectively. I am very proud of them. We also have two friends: Aysza and Puppy (Aysza’s daughter) who are the sweetest dogs in the world. And now I am going through a very happy period of my life. Do I need to say why?
